Why this show exists

The best stories never make it past the microphone check.

I've spent the last few years in rooms full of impressive people. Conferences, panels, networking nights. Good coffee, sharp blazers, lanyards everywhere.

And I kept noticing the same thing. Someone on stage gets asked how their business started, and the honest answer, the one with the sleepless nights and the stubborn call that saved the company, gets traded in for 'we saw a gap in the market.'

Everything polished. Everything politically correct. And the actual story, the reason any of us would lean in, stays locked in the green room.

Here's the strange part. These same founders are brilliant at the product. Brilliant at building the team. But ask them to share the wild ride of how they got here and they go quiet.

A CTO friend of mine heard me go on about this one too many times and said the obvious thing: record the real conversations yourself. So I did.
